The Global Legal Review (GLR) team is the law and policy division of the International Women’s Initiative (IWI); created in early 2018, we aim to advance women’s rights protections globally through legal research and lobbying initiatives. Together we work to draft detailed, relevant and timely legal analysis and scrutiny on pressing matters which affect the lives of millions of women and girls across the globe. Through raising awareness of the plight of women who suffer injustice and inequality on a daily basis, we strive toward bridging legislative gaps, constructing stronger accountability mechanisms and ultimately promoting and assisting survivors of abuse to access justice.
As a group of passionate and dedicated women’s rights advocates, our mission is simple – the permeation of gender equality into all aspects of law.
